Some students may prefer to attend non-participating schools or take advantage of opportunities in the glide year. Others may have personal reasons for applying through the traditional medical school application process. However, for students for whom linkage is right, a number of outstanding medical schools offer linkage to eligible Hopkins postbacs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who are interested in a linkage program must discuss it with their advisers, because the decision to pursue linkage can be complex. Additionally, students have the chance to speak directly with the schools\u2019 admissions team and current students to make the most informed decision.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"participating-schools\">Participating Schools<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"Boston University School of Medicine\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/busm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Boston University School of Medicine<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/brown.edu\/academics\/medical\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brown University, Alpert Medical School<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gwumc.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/medicine.hofstra.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra\/Northwell<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyit.edu\/medicine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New York Institute of Technology, College of Osteopathic Medicine<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/rwjms.rutgers.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rutgers\u00a0Robert Wood Johnson Medical School<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.med.umich.edu\/medschool\/admissions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">University of Michigan Medical School<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a title=\"University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine\" href=\"http:\/\/www.medschool.pitt.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a title=\"Weill Cornell Medical School\" href=\"http:\/\/www.med.cornell.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Weill Cornell Medical School<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"admission-requirements\">Admission Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>These schools have agreed to give special opportunities to Hopkins postbac students for enrolling directly after finishing the requirements of the postbac program. To be eligible for admission, students must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Complete all premedical requirements by the end of the spring semester (unless otherwise noted)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take the MCAT by a specified date in the spring and receive specified minimum score (if required)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain a very strong academic record, including a specified minimum GPA (if required)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be selected to interview<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be admitted by the school\u2019s admissions committee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Students may not apply to more than one school, and if admitted they will be expected to attend and not apply elsewhere.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If students wish to accelerate their enrollment in medical school and forgo the glide year, there are options to do so via \u201clinkage\u201d arrangements with select medical schools.
