The program is designed to meet the needs of talented individuals from diverse backgrounds. As of 2021, an extraordinary 99.7% of our graduates have been accepted to medical schools. You\u2019ll enroll in the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences day classes taught by outstanding faculty who are leaders in their fields, and you\u2019ll complete the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/krieger.jhu.edu\/postbac\/the-program\/curriculum\/\" target=\"_blank\">core premedical curriculum<\/a> at Johns Hopkins, known for its rigor and quality. Students also have numerous opportunities to gain experience through <a href=\"https:\/\/krieger.jhu.edu\/postbac\/the-program\/medical-tutorial-internships\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"89\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Medical Tutorials<\/a> at the School of Medicine and elective classes at the Bloomberg School of Public Health.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A fulfilling postbac experience is more than just academics. It\u2019s also being a part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/krieger.jhu.edu\/postbac\/the-program\/life-at-johns-hopkins\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"97\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">vibrant Johns Hopkins community of scholars<\/a>. To create a collegial and nurturing learning environment, the post<s>&#8211;<\/s>bac students gather regularly for our weekly advising course, social activities<s>, <\/s>visiting speakers, and more.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Starting our Program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Accepted students may start the program in Summer Term I, Summer Term II, or Fall Term. (Spring entry is not possible.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students may choose the most advantageous start based on their personal needs and goals. Most students begin in Summer Term I. Be aware that your start date will affect when you finish the program, which may also impact your application cycle for medical school and possibly linkage.
