Public Health Studies Graduation Reception

This year, one hundred and seventy students graduated from JHU with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Health Studies (PHS). Many students and their families attended the graduate reception hosted by the PHS program at Gillman Hall on May 22, 2019.

received the Outstanding Senior Award for her work on Environmental Health in the Baltimore City Public School system. Madison is with Dr. Megan Latshaw, Assistant Scientist – Environmental Health and Engineering at JHSPH and Dr. Maria Bulzacchelli, Director of the PHS program.

Nineteen graduates received Honors in Public Health.

Three students received an award for Outstanding Thesis. Dylan Balter is pictured receiving her award.

PHS students voted for Dr. Leah Jager received this year’s Golden Apple for Excellence in Teaching award. Dr. Jager teaches Public Health Biostatistics for the PHS program.

Sophia Way received the Certificate of Service award for all of her service and contribution to the PHS Office.
