Most classes will be held in our new Acting Studio in Krieger 103. All productions will continue to be in the <a href=\"https:\/\/krieger.jhu.edu\/theatre-arts\/see-a-show\/\">John Astin Theatre<\/a> in Merrick Barn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can find courses by semester on our <a href=\"https:\/\/krieger.jhu.edu\/theatre-arts\/undergraduate\/courses\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"31\">courses page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The minor in theatre arts and studies requires a total of 21 credits. Courses taken at another institution that are not directly equivalent to a JHU course may not apply towards the minor without permission of the Director of Undergraduate Studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The courses must be taken for letter grades and receive a grade of C- or higher. The required courses are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>AS.225.100 Introduction to Theatre OR AS.225.300 Contemporary Theatre &amp; Film<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AS.225.301 Acting I<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AS.225.302 Acting II<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AS.220.105 Fiction Poetry Writing I<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One theatre history course*<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One drama course in other program**<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One additional theatre course***<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>*Current options include: AS.225.328 The Existential Drama: Philosophy and Theatre of the Absurd and AS.225.345 History of Modern Theatre &amp; Drama. Students may speak to the director of undergraduate studies about other options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>**Courses are identified by the POS-Tag THEA-DRAMA.
