{"id":1155,"date":"2023-08-22T21:36:58","date_gmt":"2023-08-23T01:36:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/krieger.jhu.edu\/theatre-arts\/?post_type=people&#038;p=1155"},"modified":"2024-05-14T16:03:02","modified_gmt":"2024-05-14T20:03:02","slug":"molly-moores","status":"publish","type":"people","link":"https:\/\/krieger.jhu.edu\/theatre-arts\/directory\/molly-moores\/","title":{"rendered":"Molly Moores"},"featured_media":1154,"template":"","role":[61],"filter":[],"acf":[],"post_meta_fields":{"_edit_lock":["1715716840:433"],"_edit_last":["433"],"_thumbnail_id":["1154"],"ecpt_people_alpha":["Moores"],"ecpt_position":["Lecturer"],"ecpt_bio":["<p><strong>Molly Moores <\/strong>appeared as a Guest Professional Artist in JHU\u2019s 2022 production of <em>The Glass Managerie <\/em>(Amanda) and hosted a Master Class Workshop on auditioning for JHU\u2019s Theatre Arts &amp; Studies department.<\/p>\r\n<p>Molly is a Senior Acting Company Member and Teaching Artist with Chesapeake Shakespeare Company (CSC) in Baltimore, where she has worked as an actor in over 35 productions since 2011, including <em>Romeo and Juliet, A Christmas Carol<\/em>, <em>A Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream<\/em>, <em>Macbeth, <\/em>and <em>Much Ado About Nothing. <\/em>Molly teaches acting classes for adults at CSC\u2019s Studio and teaches residencies and workshops in local schools. She has also served CSC as Acting Company Manager and Assistant Director.<\/p>\r\n<p>In addition to CSC, Molly has acted with Ford\u2019s Theatre, Baltimore Shakespeare Festival, Theatre Hopkins and understudied at Folger Theatre and Studio Theatre. Molly is a private acting coach, focusing on monologue audition prep for students of all ages.<\/p>\r\n<p>Molly is also a teaching artist with Arts for Learning Maryland, where she has performed her own, one-woman show, <em>Miss Molly\u2019s Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream<\/em> to school audiences across Maryland since 2009.<\/p>\r\n<p>Molly appeared in the Neflix\u2019s show, <em>House of Cards<\/em>, and has worked on many commercials, industrials, and voice overs. She is currently the voice of Towson University\u2019s phone mail system.<\/p>\r\n<p>Molly holds a BA in Drama\/English from Loyola University in Baltimore and is a graduate of the Studio Acting Conservatory in D.C..
