Abraham Stoll specializes in the Renaissance and early modern period. As a dramaturg and coach he works on Shakespeare, as well as modern and contemporary productions. Recent books include: a new edition of John Milton\u2019s Paradise Lost<\/em> (Broadview, 2023), Conscience in Early Modern English Literature<\/em> (Cambridge 2017) and Milton and Monotheism<\/em> (Duquesne, 2009). He is currently co-writing a study of Aphra Behn and staging practices in the Restoration theatre. Formerly Head of Text and Context at the The Old Globe\/ University of San Diego Shiley Graduate Acting Program, his recent productions as dramaturg include: Romeo and Juliet<\/em> (for Chesapeake Shakespeare Company), Brecht's Galileo<\/em>, Aristophanes, The Clouds<\/em>, Chekhov, The Cherry Orchard<\/em>, Williams, The Glass Menagerie<\/em> (for JHU Theatre), Thornton Wilder\u2019s The Skin of our Teeth<\/em>, Henry 4 Part 1<\/em>, A Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream<\/em>, Freidrich D\u00fcrrenmatt\u2019s The Visit<\/em>, Twelfth Night<\/em>, Julius Caesar <\/em>(for The Old Globe \/ USD MFA program).
