KSAS URSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship Accepting Applications!

Graduating Hopkins PhDs pursuing humanistic research are invited to apply for the KSAS URSCA & Humanities Collaboratory Postdoctoral Fellowship. This one-year fellowship, renewable for another year, is part of the Society of Fellows in the Humanities initiative at Hopkins. Applications are due March 1, 2022 at this link.

URSCA pioneered an administrative fellowship for humanities graduates in 2020, successfully funding and mentoring two postdoctoral fellows. The Hopkins graduate selected for this fellowship will benefit from tested mentorship, and grow their skills in program design, culturally responsive teaching, interinstitutional awareness, and student mentoring, Our office is highly interdisciplinary and cooperative, and the fellow will gain experience working with Hopkins students across disciplines; Community College, HBCU, and MSI students in the humanities; and KSAS leadership and foundation relations. The postdoc will serve an important role in event management through the Richard Macksey National Undergraduate Humanities Research Symposium and our summer programming. Further, the postdoc can bring their research expertise to our ongoing study of the Humanities Collaboratory. 

The fellowship begins on July 1, 2022, is 12-months, renewable for one year, and includes a salary of $55,000, health insurance, and a $1,500 research budget. Eligibility requirements areĀ detailed on the application, but it is important to note that the selected fellow must defend their humanities or humanistic social science project by June 30, 2022. Apply by March 1, 2022.
