WGS talk, by our own Professor Laura Di Bianco, ‘Women’s Eco-Cinema in Italy.’ The talk will take place at 4:15pm in Gilman 17, on Wednesday, February 13th. Please note, again, that the room is different than that for last semester’s WGS events. Refreshments will be available, and the talk will be followed by a q&a. All are welcome!

Laura di Bianco is assistant professor of Italian Studies and director of undergraduate studies in Italian at Johns Hopkins University. Her research works at the intersection of Italian Studies, Film Studies, gender studies, and ecocriticism. She is currently working on two book projects: Wandering Women: A Psychogeography of Italian Cinema, an investigation of urban space and women’s subjectivity; and Crumbling Beauty, which focuses on representations of ecological crisis in 60s Italian cinema.
