As America’s first research university, Johns Hopkins has been responding to the world’s needs since its inception in 1876. The Krieger School of Arts and Sciences is uniquely situated to build on that tradition by providing research opportunities to students in all disciplines as early as their first year and by creating innovative partnerships with the other divisions of the university.

The Krieger School’s multiple area-focused centers, interdisciplinary programs, and traditional academic departments are the foundation for a robust network of professors, researchers, and students. No matter what the field, the Krieger School’s exceptional faculty understand the importance of partnering with one another, and their students, in their endless quest to create new knowledge.
