Ne\u015fe Devenot’s critique of MAPS\/Lykos’ MDMA-assisted therapy has been the subject of media attention over the past year, most recently in a July article in\u00a0Wired Magazine<\/a><\/em>. After Devenot published an\u00a0Open Peer Commentary<\/a>\u00a0on this critique in January 2025,\u00a0The American Journal of Bioethics<\/em>(AJOB) received a request for corrections by therapist Veronika Gold, who characterized Devenot’s commentary as comprised of “factual inaccuracies and mischaracterizations creating professional and ethical concerns[.]” After a review of supporting material, AJOB affirmed the critique’s validity and invited Devenot to respond to Gold’s letter to the editor. Devenot’s response was just\u00a0published in AJOB Volume 25, Issue 9<\/a>.
