\u201cListen to Me\u201dFilm Screening, Discussion, and Reception<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Date:<\/strong> Saturday, April 11th 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n Doors Open<\/strong>: 5:30 The evening will begin with a screening of Listen to Me<\/em>, a documentary that explores the realities of birth, care and community through the lived experiences of Black women and birthing people. It will be followed by a post-film discussion featuring director Stephanie Etienne and special guest Dr. Lauren Arrington<\/strong>. A reception will follow, providing an opportunity for continued conversation and networking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Film Synopsis:<\/strong>Listen to Me<\/em> is the story of three women who stand on the front lines of the maternal health struggle while walking the delicate tightrope of racism and birth in the United States. The film explores the realities of birth, care and community through the lived experiences of Black women. This is a film about heartbreak, survival, healing, and rebirth.
