The Writing Center will resume its services for the Fall 2021 semester on Sunday, September 5. Our hours, as always, will be Sunday through Thursday, 2 pm to 10 pm.

Important: In keeping with University guidelines and the latest updates on pandemic protocols, the Writing Center will be making a cautious return to in-person operations for the Fall 2021 semester. However, we will be employing a hybrid model that consists of some days of in-person tutoring and other days of remote tutoring, in order to give our students and staff options for giving and receiving instruction. Our appointments will be conducted as follows:

—> All appointments on Sunday and Thursday will be held remotely (Zoom or phone)

—> All appointments on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will be held in-person in the Hut (Gilman Hall 230)

Please be aware of what day your appointment is scheduled for and what type of appointment (in-person or remote) you have for that day. We can always reschedule you for a missed appointment but may not be able to accommodate a same-day rescheduling.

If your appointment is held in-person in the Hut, it is mandatory that you wear a face mask that covers your nose and mouth throughout the duration of your appointment. All of our staff tutors will be masked throughout their shifts, and we will keep hand sanitizer available on the premises.

Thank you for your interest in the Writing Center, and we are eager to see you again (whether in-person or virtually) in the Fall!
