Sergeant First Class (Ret) Karl Miller is a Recruiting Operations Officer at the Johns Hopkins University Army ROTC department.  He provides sound advice on the subjects such as: recruiting, retention, scholarships, and incentives management. 

Sergeant First Class (Ret) Miller has served in enlisted leadership positions from Team Leader, Assistant Station Commander, and Station Commander.  Sergeant First Class (Ret) previous assignments include Cleveland Army Recruiting Battalion, Tampa Army Recruiting Battalion, New England Army Recruiting Battalion, Tampa Army Recruiting Battalion, Mid Atlantic Army Recruiting Battalion, HHC 411^th Engineer Brigade, New Windsor, NY, HHC 3/7 Infantry Ft. Stewart, GA, HHC 1/75^th Ranger Regiment, and Alpha Battery 1/156^th Field Artillery Battalion, Poughkeepsie, NY.  SFC (Ret) Miller entered the New York Army National Guard Jan 1998 and served a total of 23 years in the components of Active Army, Army Reserves, and Army National Guard.

Sergeant First Class (Ret) has completed numerous levels of the Non Commissioned Officer Education system including Senior Leaders Course, Advance Leaders Course, and the Warriors Leaders Course.  His additional schools include Basic Airborne Course, Ranger Indoctrination Program, Station Commander Course, and Army Recruiter Course. 

Sergeant First Class (Ret) Miller deployed twice; once to Iraq and once to Kosovo.  Sergeant First Class (ret) Miller’s awards and decorations include The Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3^rd Award), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (5^th Award), Army Superior Unit Award (2^nd Award), Army Good Conduct Award (5^th Award) Army Reserves Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War of Terrorism Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal with 2 Campaign Stars, Non Commissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon (3^rd Award) Army Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with “M” device and 20 Year Silver Hour Glass, Military Outstanding Volunteer Medal, Kosovo Campaign Medal with Bronze Star Campaign, Gold Recruiter Badge, Basic Parachute Badge, and Driver’s Badge.

Sergeant First Class (Ret) Miller holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Business Administration from Post University.
