Woodrow Wilson Fellow Raymond Perez ’23 was recently featured in Hopkins Insider with a blog about his three-year research project examining the global excellence gap. Raymond compared gifted education programs in Baltimore and Singapore and offered a sociopolitical analysis of the disparities in academic achievement at three points of divergence: in the history of race and gifted education, in definitions of “gifted,” and in political institutions’ responses to gifted minorities.
