The Center for Africana Studies offers funding for activities undertaken by Hopkins students and faculty that advance the academic mission of the center. Please use the Application for Co-Sponsorship Funding to apply. Groups receiving funding through this method must fill out the Post-Activity Reporting Form after the activity, event, or project is complete.
All recipients of funding from the Center for Africana Studies are asked to acknowledge the contribution of the center in publications, talks, websites, emails, and other communications related to the funded event, group, or project. We suggest using the wording, “This work was supported by the Johns Hopkins University Center for Africana Studies,” though recipients may choose to provide more specific information about the event or the center’s contribution.
Student recipients of grants awarded through the Center of Africana Studies should list the title of the award and an acknowledgement of the participation of the center in all communications related to the award and on résumés and curricula vitae as appropriate.
