This intersession course taught jointly with the Center for Leadership Education is a one-credit, two-week seminar designed to introduce Hopkins undergraduates (especially first years and sophomores) to the financial services industry. The goal is to provide an introduction to a variety of fields within finance, with a practical focus on exposing the students to employment options in the industry.

The seminar will consist of two weeks of lectures, delivered by distinguished Hopkins alumni, followed by a three-day trip to New York City during which the group visits many firms in the industry. By the end of the seminar, students should have developed an understanding of the structure and jargon of the financial services industry. This is also an incredible opportunity for undergraduates to connect with alumni who may be able to assist students with their pursuit of internships and full-time employment. Students must apply for this course in fall to attend.
