Tuition, Fees, and Expenses
The tuition for the 2017–2018 academic year (full-time study for the fall and spring semesters) is $39,120. This is a flat tuition charge that covers all courses and course fees regardless of the number of credits and includes any electives taken at the Bloomberg School of Public Health or the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences. There is an activity fee of $200. Tuition for 2017 summer courses is $875 per credit, also inclusive of course fees.
The usual number of credits earned in the Johns Hopkins post-bac curriculum is 43, which includes all of the core science classes and labs, Medical Tutorials, and Introduction to Clinical Medicine, bringing the average per-credit cost to approximately $1,073. No additional tuition is charged for the MCAT preparation course.
We realize that the cost of attending a full-time post-baccalaureate premedical program is expensive. This is why we have a specific financial aid officer who will work with you to help you plan and manage the expenses associated with attending the Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program. Options are available to cover the total cost of attendance, including living expenses. For more information regarding financial aid and to consult with our financial aid officer, please visit the Johns Hopkins Student Financial Services website.
