The Assistant Dean for Strategic Initiatives assists in developing and defining administrative priorities related to the KSAS strategic plan and other high-level initiatives. The role works collaboratively with members of the leadership team within the Dean’s Office, as well as Krieger School faculty and staff.
Before joining the Dean’s Office in 2023, Barry held roles at JHU co-leading access and equity initiatives for first-generation, limited-income students and building the university’s fellowships advising program. Barry earned her BA from Columbia University, PhD from Johns Hopkins, and held faculty positions at Columbia University and Colgate University. She teaches in JHU’s First-Year Seminars program.
