English | Candidates are admitted to the PhD program only, but the MA is awarded to students who (a) complete one year of courses, pass an examination in one foreign language, and submit an acceptable master’s essay to a member of the faculty or (b) complete two years of courses and pass an examination in two foreign languages. |
