Our Friday, April 14 seminar will be a conversation with Professor Mary Favret (Professor of English and Vice Dean for Graduate Education and Centers, Programs & Institutes at JHU) taking off from her book, War at a Distance: Romanticism and the Making of Modern Wartime (Princeton University Press).

Our interdisciplinary team of discussants for the session include:

The session continues with the Arrighi Center’s thematic foci on “changing structures and norms of global governance” and “dynamics of global capitalism” and more specifically on the dynamics of contemporary war-making.

The Arrighi Center’s weekly general seminar is open to faculty, students (graduate and undergraduate), visiting scholars at JHU and beyond, and friends from around the world.

JHU students interested in taking the seminar for credit can sign up on SIS under the course number 230.675
