At the September 20, 2024 seminar we will discuss Peter Hudson’s book, Bankers and Empire: How Wall Street Colonized the Caribbean (University of Chicago Press), in preparation for Professor Hudson’s September 27 (in person) visit to the seminar.

The Fall 2024 Arrighi Center seminar is focused on the theme of “Race, Capitalism and Development” and is led by Professors Zophia Edwards and InĂ©s Valdez. The seminar meets weekly on Fridays at 1:30 pm (Baltimore time) and is open to JHU students, faculty, postdocs, visiting scholars, as well as friends in Baltimore and around the world.
