The brazilian producer will speak on contemporary brazilian documentary practice and his recent films: “This Is Ballroom” (“Salão de Baile“) (2024), “At This Moment, In The Nation’s Sky” (“No Céu da Pátria Nesse Instante“) (2023), and the forthcoming “The Archives“.

Reception will follow.

Producer Henrique Landulfo is the Producer and Co-Director with Sandra Kogut of the film “No Céu da Pátria Nesse Instante” (2023), which premiered at the 56th Brasília Film Festival, winning the Best Editing and Special Jury prizes. The film is selected to be screened at the Málaga Film Festival (Spain), DOK.fest München (Germany) and Biarritz Film Festival (France). Shot throughout the year 2022, “No Céu da Pátria Nesse Instante” closely follows the turbulent months of the electoral period that culminated in the invasion of the National Congress, the Palácio do Planalto and the Supreme Court building, on January 8, 2023. Through the eyes and experience of some characters involved in the election process, we dive into a Brazil of tension and expectation, where parallel realities coexist, and have difficulty seeing each other; the film captures an essential record of a moment in the country’s history where democracy was seriously at stake.
