Assistant Dean for Graduate and Postdoctoral Academic and Student Affairs

The Assistant Dean for Graduate and Postdoctoral Academic and Student Affairs is responsible for the leadership and administration of graduate affairs and admissions, with the goal of enhancing academic operations and the educational experience for Krieger School graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. In addition, the assistant dean works closely with individual graduate students to triage, manage, and resolve issues impacting well-being and academic success. 

Eastwood began at Hopkins in 2003 and has held various positions serving graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Prior to her role as Assistant Dean, Eastwood served as Director of Admissions for the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and prior to that as Assistant Director of Graduate Education for West Virginia University’s schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, & Public Health. She has a B.S. Journalism from West Virginia University and an MLA, Master of Liberal Arts, focusing on contemporary American cultures from Kreiger's Advanced Academic Programs.
