In this role, Donahue is the chief academic administrator for the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences’ Advanced Academic Programs division, which provides graduate and professional programs in the applied learning environment that rest at the intersection of the arts and sciences and the world. AAP employs several hundred full- and part-time faculty and staff, and serves more than 6,400 graduate students in Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and online.

Donahue joined AAP in 2018, having served in multiple positions within Georgetown University for more than a decade. During that time, she was responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Academic and Faculty Affairs Division for the School of Continuing Studies, served as associate dean of summer school and special programs, and was associate dean of professional and executive education at Georgetown University in Qatar. Before working at Georgetown, Donahue worked at American University as associate dean of The Washington Semester Program and as assistant professor and faculty chair of the Washington Semester.

Donahue received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Syracuse University, a master’s degree in media studies from The New School in New York, and a master’s degree in political science from Johns Hopkins. She also received a PhD in political science from Johns Hopkins.
