Sample BS/MS Programs

The following sample programs show three options for current, neuroscience students given when they complete their undergraduate requirements. This BS/MS program is only open to current JHU undergraduate Neuroscience majors. Potential applicants should contact Dr. Trageser or Dr. Baraban if they have any questions about their potential to apply.

5-year Program

Student applies in October of senior fall; and matriculates during senior spring.

Senior Fall

  • Submit application for October deadline
  • Must complete all NS requirements by end of this semester

Senior Spring

  • Mentored Research I (080.850) 9 credits
  • Adv. Seminar in Neuroscience I (080.411) 3 credits

Summer

Mentored Research (080.851) II, 6 credits

Graduate Fall

  • Mentored Research (080.851) III 9 credits
  • Adv. Seminar in Neuroscience II (080.412) 3 credits

Graduate Spring

  • 080.660 Commencement Project 1 credit (Write and defend Master’s thesis)
