Visiting Artist Talk: Willie Cole

The Center for Visual Arts, at Johns Hopkins University, and The Rinehart School of Sculpture, at the Maryland Institute College of Art, invites you to a Visiting Artist Talk with contemporary artist Willie Cole.

  • September 24th, 2024 from 5:30- 7:00 pm.

Willie Cole is a contemporary American sculptor, printer, designer, perceptual engineer, and visual artist. A figure of postmodern eclecticism, Cole’s work often reflects traditional African imagery, through the use of found objects. Living and working in New Jersey, Cole’s work has been the subject of several one-person museum exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art, New York (1998), Bronx Museum of the Arts (2001), Miami Art Museum (2001), Tampa Museum of Art (2004), University of Wyoming Art Museum (2006), Montclair Art Museum (2006), College of Wooster Art Museum (2013-14).
