Carly Schnitzler and research team win Best Paper Award at CHI 2025

Carly Schnitzler and her collaborators (Katy Ilonka Gero, Meera Desai, Nayun Eom, Jack Cushman, and Elena L. Glassman) received a Best Paper Award at CHI 2025 for their paper, Creative Writers’ Attitudes on Writing as Training Data for Large Language Models.”

This means it was in the top 1% of submissions. The paper will be published in a computer science venue, as part of the CHI 2025 conference proceedings. Katy Gero will be presenting this paper and accepting the award on behalf of their research team at the CHI 2025 conference in Yokohama, Japan in about a month.
