Blackmon Presents at Computers & Writing 2026

Codi Renee Blackmon

Codi Renee Blackmon presented “Sustaining Communities through a Critical Race, Trauma-Informed Ethic” at the 2026 Computers & Writing Conference at UNC Charlotte. Drawing on her dissertation research, Blackmon introduced the Critical Race Trauma-Informed Ethic (CRTIE), a framework for designing more equitable and sustainable digital communities. Using online recovery communities as a case study, the presentation examined how care, accountability, labor, and participation shape community sustainability and explored implications for digital rhetorics, community design, and writing studies.
