Shalima Wellington is a PhD student in the English Department at Johns Hopkins University. Her research focuses on 20th-century African American and Afro-Caribbean immigrant literature. Prior to coming to JHU, she taught in the SEEK program at the City University of New York. She also holds a B.A. in English and Spanish from Agnes Scott College and an M.A. in English Literature from Fordham University.
