The Program has worked with the Career Center to make available through Handshake listings of museum-related internships in Baltimore, Washington, Philadelphia, and New York. The list contains summer and semester-long internships, both paid and unpaid. Museums and society students have interned at the Smithsonian, Baltimore Museum of Art, Jewish Museum of Maryland, Sotheby’s, and many more places. The Program also sponsors regular internship and career workshops hosted by the Career Center, but students are responsible for seeking out and securing such opportunities on their own.

Four internships are reserved for students from the Johns Hopkins University: the Student Curatorial Internship at the Evergreen Museum and Library of the Johns Hopkins University; the Nan Pinkard-Aurelia Bolton internship at the Homewood Museum of the Johns Hopkins University; the Sonneborn Collection Curatorial Internship at the Johns Hopkins University; and the Robert and Nancy Hall Fellowship Program to work at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore.
