After shepherding JHU’s membership into the Chesapeake chapter of the Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Units (CESU) Network, the program won a subaward agreement with the Museums Resource Center (MRC) of the National Parks Service to hire student interns. The MRC is the central curatorial and collections management facility for the NPS of Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and DC. It houses collections from national parks ranging from Antietam and Harper’s Ferry to Catoctin and the Frederick Douglass National Historic Site.
