Alex Lewis holds a BA in Philosophy and English from the University of Melbourne (Australia), and a PhD in English from Johns Hopkins University. His research centers on Renaissance literature and culture; religion, gender and sexuality studies, race; and literature and philosophy. His current project explores the relationship between sexual jealousy and literary form in Renaissance literature and culture from 1300-1700. His peer reviewed articles have appeared in Comparative Literature, Modern Philology, and Milton Studies.
