Cameron Jalayer Loftis is a PhD student in the English department at Johns Hopkins University. His research focuses on race and ethnicity in American literature and culture from the late nineteenth century to the present. He has additional interests in the built environment and urban studies, the novel, and theory. Before coming to Hopkins, he completed his B.A. in English at Harvard College.
