The East Asian Studies Forum and Review (EAFR) is a biannual publication of interdisciplinary undergraduate research with a regional focus on East Asia. Undergraduate students submit research papers they have written, independently or for class, on subjects related to China, Taiwan, Japan, or Korea. Papers on Southeast Asia will also be considered on a case-by-case basis. The journal is supported by the Johns Hopkins University’s East Asian Studies Program and produced by undergraduate students. Following the publication of the 2022 and 2023 issues, the forthcoming EAFR Spring 2025 issue will showcase undergraduate research and promote awareness and scholarly discussion of a vibrant, diverse, and increasingly prominent region of the world.
