Environmental Film Club – Thursdays at 5 pm

Focusing on people and places, our film club will explore human engagements across diverse environments in the world. Each week, we will view an ethnographic or documentary film, selected by Dr. Jana Kopelent Rehak, a cultural and visual anthropologist, followed by a discussion. The films will cover a broad range of socioecological topics relevant to current environmental issues as these relate to urban and rural communities globally. In addition, students will have the unique opportunity to learn about the history of ethnographic film and its methodological role and expressive form in the social sciences and humanities.

Location: Olin Hall
