The Richard Macksey National Undergraduate Humanities Research Symposium provides hundreds of students across all fields of the humanities the opportunity to share their work in the professional presentation style most common to their fields. Attendees also participate in professionalization and recruitment events during the three-day symposium. It’s the first conference of its kind: there has been no other national platform for undergraduates in the humanities to share their work.
In response to COVID-19, the 2020 symposium shifted to an online format and all participants has the opportunity to submit their work to a journal of conference proceedings. Their presentations have been viewed over 15,000 times so far. Our peer-reviewed journal of proceedings, the Macksey Journal, is now online but currently being updated.
The 2021 Macksey Symposium will be hosted virtually and live on April 24th and 25th for registered presenters and guests. Links will be sent out 48 hours before the conference to the custom site. The conference site is located here: MACKSEY 2021 VIRTUAL SITE LINK
