The JHU postbac not only provided me with an excellent foundation in the sciences, but also helped me learn how to organize my time and accomplish multiple academic pursuits simultaneously. My medical tutorial was with Dr. Maria Trent, who specializes in adolescent/young adult medicine at Hopkins. I worked directly with patients educating them on our study, and she supported me in developing my own project, which was a big part of my application to medical school.
