Co-Sponsorship Request

The deadline to submit a request for Spring 2023 is October 14, 2022. The deadline for Fall 2023 is March 15, 2023.

The Alexander Grass Humanities Institute supports a range of humanities-related events at JHU. We invite applications for co-sponsorship of programming that aligns with the AGHI mission.

Funding of up to $7,500 is available for activities such as lectures, conferences, colloquia, performances, reading groups, and workshops.

We will also consider requests for smaller grants requests of up to $2,500 on a rolling basis.

Applications must include:

  • a detailed description of the event
  • an itemized budget that explains how the requested AGHI funding will be used in conjunction with funds from other co-sponsors

The AGHI board will review applications for the Fall semester in March and for the Spring semester in October. Applicants will be notified of awards in early April and November respectively.

All event publicity must acknowledge Alexander Grass Humanities Institute’s co-sponsorship.
