Film and Media Studies was honored to welcome producer Alexandra Byer back to Baltimore for a master class with students followed by screening of the award-winning Familiar Touch. The film follows Ruth, an octogenarian, who is adjusting to life in assisted living.

The screening was followed by a panel discussion moderated by FMS Director, Dr. Meredith Ward and included Alexandra, Jennifer A. Schrack, PhD, MS, Director of the Johns Hopkins Center on Aging and Health, and Ariel Green, MD, MPH, PhD, Associate Professor of Geriatric Medicine at JHMI.
