NU RHO PSI ELECTIONS TONIGHT

The general elections for next year’s NRP Board and Committee positions will be held TONIGHT - 4/21 at 9:00 pm in Mergenthaler 111.  .  If you are interested in running, come prepared to give a presentation on why you are running.  Good luck to all!!!

BRAIN AWARENESS WEEK – THIS WEEK

The Neuroscience and Behavioral

This week Hopkins is celebrating Brain Awareness Week hosted by Nu Rho Psi.  Be sure to stop by one or all of our events.

Monday – 8:30 – 10:30 am – YOUR BRAIN ON CAFFEINE

Come and enjoy free coffee on the Breezeway and learn how caffeine affects your brain!

Tuesday – 12:00 – 3:00 pm – BRAIN TRIVIA

Show off your knowledge of neuroscience and win fun prizes on the Beach!

Wednesday – 8:30 – 10:30 am – BREAKFAST FOR THE BRAIN

Free breakfast on the Breezway!  Grab and go snacks will be provided to give your day a boost!

Thursday – 12:00 – 3:00 pm – MENTAL HEALTH & STRESS

Visit the Beach to learn about ways to cope with stress.  Tak a stress ball before Finals!

Friday – 8:30 – 10:30 am – ALCOHOL ON THE BRAIN

See how well you do in a game of pong while wearing prism glasses.  Come learn how alcohol affects your brain on the Breezeway. 

 

MAJOR AMBASSADORS - MEET & GREET FOR NEW BEHAVIORAL BIOLOGY MAJORS

We are happy to report that our major is still thriving.  We recently had 19 freshmen declare to be Behavioral Biology majors!!!  We will once again be welcoming them at our Major Ambassadors Meet & Greet which will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd from 4:00-5:00 pm in the UTL/Mudd Lounge.

Please join us.  This is a GREAT opportunity to welcome our new majors and for them to meet some of our current upperclassmen.

GRADUATION RECEPTION- SENIORS

The Annual Behavioral Biology, Neuroscience and Psychological and Brain Sciences Department will be hosting a Graduation Reception on Wednesday, May 21st from  4:00 – 6:30 pm.

TEACHER COURSE EVALUATIONS

Teacher Course Evaluations for Spring 2013 will be available starting today - April 21st. We encourage all students to take these seriously and know that your feedback is important.

ARE YOU PUBLISHED???  We are anxious to see what our students have been up to in their labs!!! We would like to post your recent and past publications on our website for your peers and alumni to view.

We have created a Publications page and a link on our homepage to submit all recent and past publications.

CONFERENCE ROOM

The Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology Conference Room, located in 414 Dunning Hall, is open for your gathering & studying pleasure.

View the availability of the Conference Room for the week can be found on the website. We will also be posting a sign on the door when the room is in use. You can also review the Dunning Conference Room user's policy on the website.
