Dr. Andrew Gallup recently published a commentary on a target article in Behavioral and Brain Sciences that discusses sports and athletic competitions as a source of symbolic material culture in human evolution.
Recently, Dr. Gallup had the opportunity to comment on a study published in Current Biology that examines contagious urination in chimpanzees. This research provides insight into the social behaviors of our closest relatives and how group dynamics can influence them.
