Lecture: “Mario Vargas Llosa and Gabriel García Márquez in Dialogue”

On Wednesday, Sept. 13, Christian Fernandez will deliver the lecture, “Mario Vargas Llosa and Gabriel García Márquez in Dialogue.” Fernandez is an associate professor in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge. His scholarship focuses on Latin American colonial and postcolonial studies.


German PhD Student Christiane Ketteler Completes Notable Projects

Christiane Ketteler has recently finished three projects and publications relating to her study as German Program PhD student. The projects include an internet platform against anti-Semitism, a translation, and a theatrical comment.


Congratulations Bryan Klausmeyer (German PhD, ’17)

Dr. Bryan Klausmeyer, who recently earned his PhD from the German Program, is beginning his second year as the Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in German Studies at Occidental College.
