Call for Student Posters: 10th Annual VMCA Vector-Borne Sciences Competition

The Virginia Mosquito Control Association (VMCA) invites undergraduate and graduate students to participate in its 10th Annual Student Poster Competition during the Fall 2025 semester. The competition highlights original student research in the field of vector-borne sciences, with topics ranging from vector biology and surveillance methods to vaccine development, outreach, and control efforts.

Eligibility:

  • Students must be enrolled in a degree program during Fall 2025.
  • Institutions must be located in Virginia or neighboring states:
    Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, Washington DC, and West Virginia.
  • Open to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Awards:

  • 1st Place: $1,000
  • 2nd Place: $300
  • 3rd Place: $200
  • Top 5 Posters: Free registration to the 2026 VMCA Annual Conference
