Katie Henry is an Academic Advisor for the Public Health Studies Program and also serves as the advisor to the undergraduate public health research journal, Epidemic Proportions. Katie comes from a basic science research background and was previously conducting research in the field of Cystic Fibrosis as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.  As a research scientist, her work focused on understanding the development and treatment of diseases in a physiological system.  During this time, Katie was also an adjunct professor at Towson University, where she taught General Biology for non-majors and developed a strong passion for working with students. 

Dr. Henry earned a B.S. in Biotechnology from Elizabethtown College and her PhD in Molecular Physiology from The University of Virginia.
