In February, students pursuing the SAIS BA/MA visited the new Bloomberg Center, SAIS’s home in Washington, DC. They explored the building and were welcomed by SAIS community members including Dean Jim Steinberg, Assistant Dean of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Julianna González-McLean, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs Khorey Baker, and Associate Director of Global Careers Julie Nussdorfer. Students also had an opportunity to connect with current MAIR students who are JHU undergraduate alumni.  

The experience provided an early opportunity for students to get excited about graduate school, learn more about SAIS and its resources, and form cross-campus connections. 

“It was wonderful to see the students ask thoughtful questions and begin to build relationships with current MAIR students. They are clearly a motivated group, and the knowledge gained from peers who have experience transitioning from the Homewood campus will be invaluable as they move into the MAIR program.” said MAIR academic advisor, Marie Gorman.
