The story focuses on the Muxe community in Oaxaca, Mexico, a group of Zapotec people who identify as a third gender. Marta, a young designer, travels to Oaxaca to research the Muxes’ traditional clothing designs. As she immerses herself in the community, she experiences a shift in her own perception of reality and self. The film explores themes of gender recognition, appropriation, and the impact of a devastating earthquake on the community.
