The film dramatizes the true story of Héctor Abad Gómez, a renowned Colombian doctor and human rights activist in 1970s Medellín, Colombia. Based on the best-selling book “Oblivion: A Memoir” written by Héctor Abad Faciolince, Gómez’s only son, the film recounts Faciolince’s childhood with his father and the circumstances surrounding his father’s murder by Colombian paramilitaries.
