Natural Phenomena is a darkly comedic drama that reimagines The Wizard of Oz in late-1980s Cuba and follows a pregnant nurse named Vilma, whisked away by a tornado to an island where her dreams might come true. 

The 2025 Latin American Film Festival is co-sponsored by the Program in Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx Studies and the Aronson Center for International Studies. All films are captioned, free, and open to the public.
