CARTEEH’s summer internship program will be conducted at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) from May 27 to August 1, 2025. Every student will be paired with a TTI research mentor and will contribute to an ongoing transportation, emissions, and health research initiative at CARTEEH. THIS PROGRAM COVERS, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING TOPICS: • Transportation emissions and/or air quality modeling • Assessment of exposures and health impacts • Policy and decision making • Land use and urban planning • Health impacts of alternative and emerging technologies BENEFITS OF THIS RESEARCH EXPERIENCE: • Work with a research mentor • Create an independent research topic that builds on your mentor’s project(s) • Explore whether graduate school is right for you • Meet students from across the country with similar interests Dates: May 27–August 1, 2025 Location: Bryan, Texas | Texas A&M RELLIS Campus WHO SHOULD APPLY: Any academic major is welcome. Past majors include: • Civil or other Engineering • Urban Planning • Public or Community Health • Geography • Medicine • Statistics or Data Analytics • Social Sciences REQUIREMENTS: • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident • Must have completed junior year (at least 90 hours) by the end of Spring 2025 • Must be on track to graduate no sooner than December 2025 FUNDING: Interns will be paid up to $6,000 in wages for the 10-week period. Interns have the option to reside in Bryan/College Station during the summer or complete their internship remotely. Those who elect to live in Bryan/College Station will receive a $2,000 housing allowance and a $1,700 food allowance. (Both wages and food/housing allowances are considered taxable income.)
