The Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatric Medicine, is seeking a Research Assistant to support a variety of engagement-related activities and research projects. This role involves organizing, facilitating, and conducting diverse tasks, working with collaborators, and coordinating activities across research projects.
Location: On-site in Baltimore, Maryland, with potential in-person recruitment efforts in the Baltimore metropolitan area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work independently and with multidisciplinary teams.
- Interact with participants and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
- Maintain study protocol knowledge and adhere to research standards.
- Set project goals and timelines with investigators.
- Participate in recruitment efforts via phone, email, or in person.
- Organize and coordinate meetings, maintaining documentation.
- Maintain a secure database for data review and analysis.
- Assist in developing content for reports and manuscripts.
- Conduct literature reviews and draft manuscripts.
- Attend project team meetings and coordinate progress reports.
- Use technologies like REDCap, Qualtrics, and Microsoft Teams for surveys and communication.
- Organize and maintain study documentation.
- Track project progress and manage workflows.
- Handle administrative tasks related to budgets.
- Assist in community engagement activities to disseminate research findings.
- Learn and utilize tools for project planning and communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline.
- Additional related experience may substitute for required education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in aging, epidemiology, and qualitative data analysis.
- Experience in community outreach or stakeholder engagement in low-resource urban settings.
- Experience with surveys, literature review, and working with older adults and caregivers.
